Dispatch
Editions are released from the studio in Berlin after payment has been confirmed. Each impression is hand-packed in archival sleeves between rigid corner boards, then crated where the format and destination warrant it. Dispatch typically occurs within five working days of order; large or museum-grade formats may require an additional handling window, which we communicate in advance.
Carriers and insurance
Smaller formats travel by DHL Premium with signature on delivery. Larger or framed works are entrusted to specialist fine-art couriers (typically DHL Fine Art or hasenkamp). Every shipment is fully insured at the work's sale value for the duration of transit; no surcharge is added for this insurance.
Lead times
The indications below describe carriage from dispatch to delivery, not including the handling window referenced above. Customs clearance for non-EU destinations may add further time outside our control.

Shipping costs
Carriage is calculated by destination, dimensions and declared value, and is displayed on the Stripe Checkout page before payment is authorised. The total shown there is final for transit; no further charges are added by the studio after dispatch.
Customs and duties (outside the EU)
For destinations outside the European Union, import duties, taxes and brokerage fees are determined by the destination country and are the responsibility of the buyer. The studio declares each shipment honestly at sale value; under-declaration is not offered. Most jurisdictions apply a reduced rate to original works of art — your local customs broker can clarify.
Passing of risk
For consumer purchases within the meaning of § 13 BGB, the risk of accidental loss or deterioration passes to the buyer upon delivery of the work. For business purchases, risk passes upon handover to the carrier.
Damage in transit
Despite the care taken, transit damage occurs. If the outer packaging arrives compromised, please accept the parcel under written reservation with the carrier and photograph both the packaging and the work before unpacking further. Notify the studio at hello@bodyfluid.art within seven days; we will manage the insurance claim and either replace the impression (where still available) or refund in full.
Returns and withdrawal
Consumer buyers retain the statutory right of withdrawal for fourteen days following delivery. See the dedicated withdrawal page for the formal notice and the model cancellation form.
